Evan Kay

Looking at Evan Kay, you would think this young tween was your average everyday kid, but underneath his humble exterior lies a 3x world martial arts champion and stunt kid.

At a very early age, Evan would make goals that most just dreamed of.  Evan received his black belt in Tang Soo Doo becoming one of the youngest student to achieve that rank at his martial arts school.  While training to become a black belt, Evan saw the Discovery Channel's documentary, XMA: Extreme Martial Arts featuring Matt Mullins and promptly decided that he wanted to become an extreme martial artist.  He found out that Matt was starting a class nearby and went there on the intent to just meet him.  When he found out he could take Matt's classes, he decided to learn as much as he could as he wanted to be part of the Sideswipe team.  Within 3 months of training with Matt, Evan was asked to join Sideswipe Kids and was officially under Matt Mullins' guidance.

Never wanting to stop his growth in training, in 2006, Evan decided to start competing on a national level with the goal of earning a world championship title.  Going from only competing in his martial arts studio's in-house tournaments to travelling nationwide, within 4 tournaments Evan starting winning his divisions and achieved not only one but three world titles.

Evan enjoys being part of the Sideswipe team and has performed with them in numerous events, appeared on America's Got Talent as well as played a lead role in their production of Theatricks.  When an opportunity for a stunt role came up, Matt Mullins recommended Evan for the role.  Impressed by his martial arts ability, the stunt coordinator hired Evan to stunt double the role of "Tran" in the movie "Tropic Thunder" for the fight scene with Jack Black.  Evan's skills and professionalism made such as impact that he was then recommended and hired to stunt double as "Young Mr. Spock" in Star Trek XI as well as for "Young Snake Eyes" in the upcoming movie G.I. Joe.

Evan continues to pursue a career in stunts and hopes to become a stunt coordinator one day.
