Chris Brewster
With over 13 world titles, Chris Brewster is one of the most exciting competitors on the martial arts circuit. Known for his flashy, high-flying tricks and acrobatics, Chris has competed and performed in Bermuda, Poland, Hungary, Russia and Austria. Chris began learning martial arts at the age of five. By age seven, he won his first national title. After moving to Illinois with his family, he began taking karate lessons at Sharkey's Karate, under the guidance of John Sharkey. In 2001, Chris joined, and was appointed captain of, Team AKA, one of the top competition teams in the country today. Chris won many of the largest tournaments in the country, including: AKA Grand Nationals, NBL Super Grands World Games, Sun City Internationals, Tornado Internationals and Amerikick Internationals.
Along with competing, Chris has been a main member of Sideswipe performance team for over two years. He was a competitor and finalist on MTV's Final Fu and has also done motion capture for video games such as Mortal Kombat, Shaolin Monks and Stranglehold. Chris currently performs, competes and teaches martial arts and is also pursuing a career in stunt work.
